Captain America First Avenger was an original story that obtained success in the comic book world. In the movie Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), is an American that has lost both his mother and father in World War Two. He joins the Army and fights the Nazis. The first half and hour of the movie, the pace is very slow. I am glad that Evans got the role. It was a refreshing attempt to give a role to someone besides a big named Hollywood actor. The beginning part of the movie really drags and has some real cheesy lines, very late 30's early 40's cheese. Stanley Tucci and Tommy Lee Jones save the movie most of the time. This film was a poor attempt to justify the comic series. I spent most of the movie shaking my head. After the first half an hour the movie starts to pick up the pace. This movie is a good "American Hero" crap that has been done over and over again and man just love the hero thing. I would save your money and rent the movie. Some movies are just not a good setting for the theater and Captain America is one of them.
